Legs bunny - Legs pupu

One day my older daughter had a temperature and stayed home from school. I had a day off so it was ok, I did not have to call in sick. I was surfing while she was resting and stumbled across this pattern. I immediately went downstairs, got the yarn and knit a bunny. She loves it. Unfortunately it's not perfect and it did not felt very well. I shall one day make a whole bunny family with better results :)

Joskus teen koko pupuperheen paremmalla onnella.

Felting again - huovutin taas

I decided to try felting again. Nobody had told me that to prevent felting a ball you should sew a plastic bag or something of that sort into the hat. I was very lucky that it came out as a hat. It's not bad, but it's not very great either, there's quite a few things I'd change having the experience that I have now. The ear flaps are placed wrong and the strings are of no use + I would certainly decorate the hat by needlefelting something on it. Other than that it's very warm and cosy, which is of course good.

Felted mittens - huovutetut tumput

This was my first touch with felting. I had not even managed to shrink a woolen sweater by mistake before that (since then I have :)). I could hardly believe my eyes when the mittens were ready, are they really supposed to be THIS huge? They were. Only had I known then what I know now I had put the mittens in for round number two in the washing machine because they did not felt quite enough, but they'll do, I do wear them any time it's really cold (lower than -25 degrees centigrade) with other mittens inside of them.
