Red tablerunner - Punainen kaitaliina

I got a sudden urge (hearing a friend say that she's making some for her kid's teacher) to make a couple of these. My constant dilemma is WHAT to get for the teachers for Christmas and spring. I know for a fact that they have enough mugs and cups, they get flowers no end (so many of my friends are teachers so this is inside information :)) and most don't like silly little (let alone huge) ornaments without meaning. I thought this would be a good idea since it's very Christmas'sy, it's homemade (which they seem to appreciate) and also little enough to shove to the back of the closet if you don't like it... ;)
