Summer cardi - kesävillis

I always make stuff for everybody else and stumbling over this nice pattern in this springs craft magazine I decided it was time for me to make something for my daughters this time. This is for my younger daughter because we are testing if my older, sensitive (not allergic, just sensitive) daughter can wear it. She refuses to wear wool. This is mostly bamboo so if she likes it, I'll by more yarn and make another cardi for her (the pattern she chose is a bit different).

Aina teen jotain muille, ja nyt kun törmäsin kevään käsityölehdessä tähän mukavaan ohjeeseen päätin että tällä kertaa on korkea aika tehdä jotain tyttärille. Tämä on nuoremmalle tytölleni ja samalla testaamme neiti herkkähipiän mielipidettä- voiko sitä pitää. Esikoinen kieltäytyy pitämästä villaa. Tässä on pääosin bambua joten jos hän tästä pitää, ostan enemmän lankaa ja teen toisen takin hänelle (hän valitsi hieman erilaisen ohjeen).

It fits - se sopii

The cropped hoodie has been tried on and liked - and has buttons too. I got another pictures of it with buttons sewed on and it turned out half way decent. I wish I get a picture of it ON the recipient later, we'll wait and see.

Tynkähuppari on sovitettu ja siitä pidetään - ja siinä on napitkin. Otin uuden kuvan hupparista nappeineen ja kuvasta tuli jopa melkein siedettävä. Toivottavasti saan myöhemmin kuvan jossa se on vastaanottajan yllä, saapi nähdä.

Blue Salomon's knots - sinisiä Salomoninsolmuja

This was fast and easy to do (and BORING). Upon wish of a friend, for her neighbour. She wanted darker blue edges (like my wedding shawl in white and green) but I could not find a suitable blue (and the scarf's colour was not negotiable) so she'll have to do without. Other than that it turned out quite nice.

Tämä tuli äkkiä ja helpolla (ja oli TYLSÄÄ). Ystävän pyynnöstä, hänen naapurilleen. Hän halusi tummemman sinisen reunuksen (kuten valko-vihreässä häähuivissani) mutta en löytänyt mistään sopivaa sinistä lankaa joten on pärjättävä ilman. Muuten sitä tuli ihan kiva :)

Black Cropped Hoodie - Musta tynkähuppari

Finally, FINALLY this cropped hoodie is done. It's been an ordeal. Black yarn is not my favourite , and the pattern was right out a disaster. No matter how many times I redid certain parts it went wrong and finally I had to forget the pattern and do whatever felt right. In the very end it turned out alright, although I must say that I would not wear a hoodie like this, not with this body. I have no idea how it will fit the recepient, but I tried it on and it was VERY snug so I think it will be just fine and dandy because my colleague is way smaller than I am. I will most certainly NEVER do one of these again. Amen.

Vihdoinkin, VIHDOINKIN tämä tynkähuppari on valmis. Se oli taakka. Musta lanka ei kuulu suosikkeihini, ja ohje oli suoraan sanottuna syvältä. Vaikka tein eräät osat monta kertaa se oli aina väärin ja lopulta jouduin luopumaan ohjeen seuraamisesta ja tehdä vähän siten miltä tuntui. Lopun kaiken paidasta taisi tulla ihan ok vaikka täytyy sanoa etten ikinä itse käyttäisi tällaista hupparia - ei tällä vartalolla. Ei ole mitään käsitystä miten se tulee sopimaan vastaanottajalleen, mutta kun sovitin sitä päälle se oli todella nafti joten oletan että se voisi hyvinkin olla juuri sopiva ottaen huomioon että työkaverini on huomattavasti pienempi kuin minä. Aivan varmasti en enää IKINÄ tee tällaista paitaa. Aamen.

Simple raglan sweater - yksinkertainen raglanpusero

Ages ago I bought this orange Drops Alpaca yarn because the colour appealed to me so much, I was planning on making the Hourglass sweater... until I looked at the stats and realized that it asks for a much thicker yarn than Drops Alpaca. I did not feel like doing math and recalculating all the stitches so I figured I'd make something else and buy a more suitable yarn for the Hourglass. Could there be a more suitable site than Drops own pages?! I soon saw this simple raglan sweater pattern that very much indeed reminds me of the Hourglass (in its simplicity :)) so it was simple as that. Having made this, I will later consider the Hourglass but it does not seem important right now. This was an easy knit although the pattern was a bit diffuse in the area around the neck, some figuring out was required :/ I am indeed very happy with the result.

Aikoja sitten jo ostin tämän oranssin Dropsin Alpaca langan koska väri miellytti minua niin kovin - suunnittelin tekeväni siitä Hourglass-villapaidan... kunnes katsoin tietoja ja tajusin että se vaatii paljon paksumman langan kuin mitä tämä Drops Alpaca on. Ei tehnyt mieli ruveta matematisoimaan ja laskemaan silmukkamääriä uudestaan joten päätin että teen tästä jotain muuta ja ostan Hourglass paidalle sopivamman langan. Voisiko olla parempi paikka etsiä kuin Dropsin omat sivut?! Pian löysin tämän yksinkertaisen raglanpaidan ohjeen joka todella paljon muistuttaa Hourglassa paitaa yksinkertaisuudessaan, joten näin helppoa se oli. Tehtyäni tämän harkitsen myöhemmin teenkö Hourglassin, mutta nyt se ei tunnu ajankohtaiselta. Tämä oli helppo neule vaikka kaula-aukon tienoon ohjeet olivat vähän epäselvät ja vaativat pientä pähkäilyä :/ Olen todella tyytyväinen lopputulokseen.

Green poncho too - myöskin (tai toinen) vihreä poncho

For the other twin, of course. So you do not have double vision :) Most often if I buy or knit something for the twins it will be the same item in a different colour, but this time I made them the same. The other one is as soft as the first one, hope they will fit.

Toiselle kaksoselle, tietysti. Jotta sinä et näe kaksoiskuvia :) Useimmiten jos ostan tai neulon jotain kaksosille se on samanlainen, mutta erivärinen - tällä kertaa tein niistä samanlaiset. Tämä on yhtä pehmeä kuin ensimmäinen, toivottavasti sopivat.

Green poncho - vihreä poncho

A simple fast knit + crocheted poncho for my dear goddaughter. Another one is on the needles (or hook) already and will be done tonight or tomorrow :) No pattern, I just knit a smaller scale version of the grown up sized poncho I made for my friend earlier (and these are her daughters so they will all look SO pretty :)). It feels nice, I hope it is appreciated (I think they will be, the cardis I made earlier have been worn out :)).

Nopeasti neulottu + virkattu poncho rakkaalle kummitytölleni. Toinen on jo puikoilla (tai koukulla) ja valmistunee tänään tai huomenna. Ei ohjetta, tein vain pienemmän version ponchosta jonka tein ystävälleni aiemmin (ja nämä ovat hänen tyttäriään joten heistä tulee NIIN nättejä). Se tuntuu mukavalta, toivon että sitä pidetään (uskon niin sillä aiemmin tekemäni puuvillapitsitakit ovat puhkipidetyt :)).
