These are made out of small balls of yarn that have found no use. My daughter fancies these as well (as well as the weird yellow ones with brown stripes and purple edging) so I guess she will have them :)

My friend Virpi saw these socks in my blog a very long time ago and told me, that if ever there's a moment when my knitting is not spoken for she'd love a pair of these, and chose the yarn from my stash. Well such a moment never came, and most likely never will, so I made these for her for christmas anyway :)

I got some (yeah....) new sock yarn and of course I wanted to get started right away testing the yarn. It was okay to knit, basic nice sock yarn, I hope it is good to wear too. My older daughter loves earthly colours so I knit her a pair of socks, she requested them long, that's why they look a little funny.

As a thank you friend for my still oblivious friend after I emptied their garden of berries, onion, flowers, zucchini etc. Basic toe-up-socks with scarp yarn, thus somewhat different striping towards the top.
